The CYSSDE (Cybersecurity Deployment Preparedness Support, Capacity & Capabilities) project is a European initiative focused on enhancing cybersecurity resilience for Essential Service Operators and SMEs affected by NIS2 and CER (Critical Entities Resilience) directives.
CYSSDE aims to improve how these organizations identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks by:
- Funding Penetration Testing & Vulnerability Assessments – Over €6 million is allocated, with grants up to €200,000 per project to support at least 230 security assessments across the EU.
- Developing Cybersecurity Capacity – Creating methodologies, scenarios, and use cases to align with NIS2 requirements.
- Collaboration with National Cybersecurity Coordination Centers (NCCs) – Enhancing cybersecurity readiness through expert partnerships.
- Knowledge Sharing & Best Practices – Hosting events, webinars, and training to improve security awareness and compliance.
The project is led by LSEC (Leaders in Security) with key partners including Ceeyu, Cyber Ranges, INCIBE, and Toreon.
